To assist newly admitted students in adapting to campus life, HKIC held the “HKIC Orientation Week” at the Kowloon Bay and Sheung Shui Campuses in September 2024. This event provided students from the full-time long programmes with an introduction to the various activities and services provided by the Student Development Department, such as whole person development activities, counselling service, physical training courses, and the Learning Resources Centre.

Moreover, HKIC thoughtfully arranged a diverse range of welcoming activities, including the adventure-based training day camps, occupational safety education workshops, as well as voluntary training sessions. These activities aim to foster friendships and teamwork among students on campus, encourage them to set learning goals early, enhance their awareness of occupational safety and health standards, and cultivate a sense of community service, thereby laying a solid foundation for a rewarding learning journey ahead.
